Personality & Behavior
Description:
Snoopy was rescued as a puppy from the shelter in Olhos de Agua and has had quite the journey since then. He moved with us into a new shelter and initially shared his kennel with various male dogs without any major issues. However, Snoopy has always tended to bite human ankles when he gets too excited.
Snoopy was eventually adopted by a woman in Germany, who had already adopted two other dogs from us. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, she had to move into a small 1-bedroom apartment. His high energy and strong hunting instincts caused him to become stressed, and he started showing aggressive behavior towards the other dogs.
After being returned to us, Snoopy found peace in Flaviano's Dogs Inn in Portugal, where he lived happily with many dogs as long as he had his own space, including a dog house to store his toys. Snoopy loved the calm and sunny environment, often enjoying belly rubs and the company of the other dogs.
Once he moved to Tiny Shelter, Snoopy found himself living with Jazz and Tofu, who helped teach him boundaries. Snoopy is a playful and active dog, and it's important that he has a secure, fenced garden and an owner who can provide structure and consistency.
Adoption Requirements
Home type : A fenced garden where he can run and play freely.
Experience level : Snoopy is an energetic dog with a strong hunting instinct, so he needs a calm and confident owner who can help manage his behavior.
With Dogs: Snoopy gets along well with female dogs or confident male dogs. While he can be a bit of a troublemaker at times, he’s ultimately a coward at heart, and if given enough space, he will always back down.
With Cats: Unfortunately, Snoopy has a strong hunting instinct, so he’s not suited to a home with cats.
With Kids: Snoopy is not suited for a home with children, as he can sometimes snap when overstimulated or stressed.
